GIFT BLANKET CEREMONY

Time: 7:30 p.m. 
Place:  Mystic Farms (directions given if needed at time of reservation). Advanced reservations.

From a Native American perspective, we are conducting an evening Gift Blanket Ceremony alongside a sacred campfire, weather permitting.  It will be a beautiful and power-full evening.  Gift Blanket Ceremony respects and honors each other by giving away something that has been very important to you, that has much meaning and is truly valued by you in some way, and yet, although possibly reluctant, you are still willing to let go of it. You want someone to benefit now by receiving the item you are willing to give away.  There will be a special way in which this will be done, including the calling of the spirit elders of the 4 major directions.

Bring something very special to you that you are ready to let go of. Wrap the item simply, (i. e. brown paper bag, newspaper, something plain) so that no one can tell what the item is.  Dress comfortably for the evening. Bring also a donation of food for others to share.  This is truly a sacred and heartfelt experience of giving and receiving. Gift Blanket will be conducted outdoor or indoor, depending on weather
