Some Thoughts and a Tidbit Look at Impelling Trends for 2010By Karen David, DD I know that there are quite a few of those out there who look at impelling trends, whether they be economists, astrologers, numerologists or whomever else, who say things” aren’t lookin’ so good” again, for this year, 2010. More than some say that the 1929 Depression is similar to what we may be facing in 2010. Also, that this is an important transitioning time in history, and there is much changing. As Richard Bach states in his bestseller book, Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, “there is never a problem in one hand without a gift in the other”, well, that is true for this time frame as well. As soon as “we get the picture” on our spending habits, as soon as we recognize that control of finances is not something only a chosen few are able to do, as soon as we realize that in this country, for example, it is still government for the people, not for government itself, we can correct our situation. As soon as we continue to get the fact that you can’t keep printing up new money without balancing out what was all ready created, we can go far. As soon as we realize that money is not to control us, but that it is an idea created and made into a form to be used, we can go even further. Once we realize that God truly takes care of our needs if we know how to ask, we can release the pressure, the stress. As soon as we stop fighting for control due to money, we’ll go further still. As soon as we realize that money itself really doesn’t buy true happiness or stability, we’ve made a huge “aha” of awareness. However, at this moment, we’re still having a hard time trying to “get it”. So we’re in for another ride this year—again! Anybody remember saving, using cash instead of credit cards, and that a handshake was as good as a contract that was signed? What about looking at lost family values and the days where the family including children stayed together. We seem to have gotten a bit off track! Astrologers, for example, are saying that some of the planetary aspects in 2010, like Saturn square Pluto among others, impel us still, toward challenge, transition, transformation and change. Some say this is the year of great transitioning. Keywords for all year, and especially for January, February and mid March, and July, August, and September, 2010 is save more, pay by cash or check, continue to pay off debt, and appreciate what you do have. These are times that can be really challenging in more ways than one. Keep in mind that any tests that come your way can be used either as a struggle or a building block to a better time or situation. They say that seeing is believing. Well, not this time. Believing is seeing and through that, we can make it. We may even experience miracles of sorts, whether small or large. Believing is seeing a closed door turn into an open window of opportunity. Believing is seeing that if we do what it takes, the work necessary, then what seems turned upside down or severely challenging, turns right side up and creating. The choice is ours to make. How do we choose to handle some of the severe tests and experiences of 2010? Take a look at your values, your principles, and how are you practicing your faith? It is time for creating or re-creating, doing, or some say “reinventing” yourself in ways. Many people will come up with really creative ides and ways to bring service, joy, and financial opportunity into the market/world. It is all ready happening. It truly is a year to build upon these qualities: faith, hope, charity, joy, and creation. We need to focus on those, otherwise one or all could be lost to us amid the stress. This intense, chaotic, struggling process of transformation is continuing, and not just for the USA but for all around the world. So is a wonderful opportunity to experience the “Breathe of Heaven” blowing through to our souls, the choice to evolve to our next level of growth and understanding. Again, the choice is ours, as to whether we listen to it or not, no matter what religion one practices. Yes, it is a year of remembering, and/or enhancing our faith, generosity, compassion, creativity, optimism in tough times, and friendship too! It is what our souls are founded on. It is what the world was meant for from the beginning. It is what the country, of the USA harbors within its borders and among its people who are so diverse, so melting pot, and yet have withstood the test of time in all of its diversity, extreme strife, and growing pains over the years. Granted, we have our troubles, that is for sure. Yet deep down, America knows how to nurture, to care for and lend a helping hand to each other who are citizens of this fair land and for helping others who are way beyond our own borders. We may have had to learn it the hard way at times, but we are learning. We have the courage. We, as a people, know how to survive. We know deep down, that God is the one who blessed us with the freedom we hold so dear, and we don’t have the statue of liberty standing at our shores for nothing! That is for sure. Go back, remember, appreciate, and thank God for what has been given to us and our descendants, not only in the country of the United States, but what was given by God to all of us on this earth. Let’s not get greedy. Yes, deep down, in ways we know we have. In this United States for example, we’ve experienced growth, abundance, and the luxuries of freedom so many have fought and died for us many times. Now, it’s time we remember how to appreciate, create, enjoy what our forefathers knew how to do—they put their faith in the right place. Good values that basically say, don’t squander, don’t take for granted anymore, and just stop! How many of us, for example, know how to grow food or are learning, once again to do that. How many of us truly appreciate what the earth’s resources provide for us because the Creator made the earth for us. We look up at the sky and know that we have gone beyond its borders, to the moon, and further into the universe, as we continue to explore! If we can do all that, then how and why do we keep struggling so and have to be reminded to keep good base values ever as a flame within our hearts. It is surprising to know that as advanced as we are becoming, we are still having trouble with core issues! Well, the above impelling trends and aspects, among others not mentioned, coming up, are about to show us errors of our ways, and we will be impelled, to take stock, accountability, responsibility. We may have to continue to bone up, if you will on some survival mechanisms or have them in place, if necessary, and through it all keep the faith, appreciate what we do have, and stop complaining should we end up with one car for example, instead of 2 sitting in the driveway. Even if your house has foreclosed, and as heartbreaking as that can be, please remember, what Richard Bach states “there is never a problem in one hand without a gift in the other”. Our test is our faith. In this country, our USA, for example, it is also about remembering that as a people, we help the people, and that our government is not a machine that we think runs on its own and we are separate. Our leaders are elected by us, and they need to listen to us. We are a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Do we remember? Do we ALL remember? Well, this year is going to test in ways, whether we do or don’t. Also, “my take”, on the impelling trends is, I wouldn’t be surprised if this country is on its way to forming another party altogether. A new political party could very well emerge not too far down the road. We are also traveling an impelling trend of a 3 Universal year in 2010: 2010 = 2+0+1+0 = 3. Well, what is this saying? Very simply put, the up side of a 3 year represents in part, fun, fertility, optimism, the “child”, and more. It is a creative principle. It represents in ways, having a voice. More group voices, small and large will be expressing themselves this year. The down side to this trend is comparable to a “tempest in a teapot”. Some people may just be tempted to become more selfish,--I need this, I need that, give me that or this—well what happened to the word “us” or “we”, not just me? We’re going to find out more on that too. Be aware that there is an energy that is showing us more of a bigger space between those who have and those who have not. What happened to the middle of the road on this? It’s fading. The 3 on its simplest, base level represents creative self expression. It also represents the child/children. So, are we going to be children who throw temper tantrums because we may not have the same amount of money to use due to what is happening and worry, or excess spending, which the “downside” of the 3 can represent? Or are going to take and work with our more healed child within ourselves and do something positive, faithful, optimistic with our time, our energy, our talents, and our money? Are we going to keep trying, and get up from a fall during tough times, dust ourselves off and say,” the cup is still half full, not half empty”? Or are we not? Choice is always ours to make.
